Can my child try out for free?

Usk JFC allows new players a two week free trial period. After this period, if a player decides to join they must register by completing their FAW Comet Registration and also paying the Usk JFC Membership fee

 

How is money from membership used and why is the fee so high?

Our membership fee at Usk JFC is very competitive and well placed with clubs in the Monmouthshire League. We are a not-for-profit organisation, therefore, all of the funds are put back into the club, so that we can provide the best service possible for all of our players. Fee's are put towards:

- FAW Registration Fees

- Player Insurance

- Equipment

- Coaching Courses (First Aid / Safeguarding / Football Leaders etc)

- Kit (all players that play matches will receive a free kit for the season)

- Ground Maintenance (Grass Cutting, White Lining)

- Running Costs (Floodlighting etc)

- Free Usk Athletic Club Family Membership

* All players receive a trophy and a year book at Presentation Evening at the end of the season

 

In addition to this, as of this season we are offering Under 6's Membership at 50% of the full membership rate to offer the new players joining our club better value for money. 

 

What insurance cover will my child receive?

On completion of your child's FAW Comet Registration, they will be covered by The FAW Group Personal Accident Insurance. You will receive full information of this from the FAW via email. Please keep this information safe.

 

Does my child need a licence?

On completion of your child's FAW Comet Registration, you will also receive your child's digital FAW ID Card. You will be able to save this to your mobile phone or print for safe keeping. Coaches will have a copy of this incase it is needed to be presented at fixtures.

NEW PLAYER REGISTRATION

From the 2019-20 season, ALL children that wish to play for Usk Junior Football must be registered using the new FAW Comet system. 

 

In order to register a new player please do the following:

 

Step 1

FYI - We will use the main parent/guardian contact for sending out communication so please enter the parent/guardian most likely to receive emails quickest etc. Both parent/guardians will be added to our records incase of emergency etc.

 

Once we have received these details, our chairman will will then add you to our system and guide you through the FAW Comet Registration process. You will be notified once your child has been successfully registered by FAW Comet and receive your player ID Card via email along with your player insurance information.

 

Step 2

Once the FAW Comet Registration is successful, in order to complete a player registration with Usk JFC you must then complete the Membership Payment below.

MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT

Usk JFC Membership options are as follows:

 

Usk JFC Full Membership - £80

- This is a season long membership for all players playing in age groups Under 7 - Under 11

 

Usk JFC Sibling Membership - £40

- This is a season long membership for any additional siblings of another player playing within any other age group in the club

 

Usk JFC Under 6 Membership - £40

- This is a season long membership for all players playing in the Under 6 age group and from this season is 50% of full membership
